ABOUT THE BOOK — Despite attempting to ghost his unwanted stylist, thanks to a vlogger who captured Will’s first disastrous public appearance, his time is up.
If her client won’t come to her, Brett will go to her client—whether he likes it or not.
Excerpt Number two :
In order to stay on top of potential public relations issues, they had a system set up to capture and collate on-line references to all their active clients. Brett put the truck in park and switched out coffee for the phone, hitting the URL that popped up. Her reward was the nasally voice of a sweater vest and tie wearing host introducing something called The Culinary Beast podcast.
“Go to five minutes, forty seconds in,” Tara said over the host’s spiel.
Brett scrolled through the timeline and re-started.
“Next, let’s discuss the ever-shifting South Beach chef landscape. It seems we’ve another entry to add to that over-saturated and generally underwhelming roster. Let’s all take a look, shall we?”
The wiry speaker cued up a screen and pixels settled into a familiar coliseum and stage, thanks to someone’s cell phone video.
“Son of a—” The seeds of a stress headache kicked at Brett’s temples. She sipped hot coffee, watching Will bumble around the stage, and winced on his behalf.
