I last updated my Con List for 2022 back in October, which sometimes feels like yesterday, and other times feels like two years ago, simply because the days are still not back to whatever the new normal will be. In my brain, there is a before CV19 (which hereinafter shall be called *this which shall not be named*) and a during *this which shall not be named*.
After 2 years of *this which shall not be named*, I am deeply missing my fans and friends! So I have accepted some Con invitations.
Because of the current numbers of *this which will not be named* Con schedules may be added to, moved in time or place, or canceled. Everything is in flux. That said, these are the confirmed cons for 2022.
Please be aware that if *this which shall not be named* takes a turn for the worse at a dangerous time or in a specific area, I will not attend that con. And even if that nasty is virus gone (for good?), I may be masked in crowds and in places where I need to social distance, both for my health and to keep my elders safe when I go back home.
CoastCon 44 (Guest of Honor) March 4-6, 2022 https://www.coastcon.org/ at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. I am so excited to go to this con! We used to vacation in Biloxi when I was brat, and we lived in Mississippi for a few years. I haven’t been back since 5 years after Katrina, and I am psyched!
FantaSci 2022 (Special Guest) will be held from Friday, March 25 – Sunday, March 27, 2022. https://fantasci.rocks/ Our venue is the DoubleTree RDU at 4810 Page Creek Lane, Durham, NC. I’ve never been, but smaller cons are the best place to sit and visit with fans, so make plans to come!
JordanCon (Guest of Honor) April 22-24, 2022 https://www.jordancon.org/jordancon-2022/ in Atlanta, Georgia. I was actually supposed to be GOH in … 2020 I think. And then in 2021. And I am going for sure in 2022! WHOOT!
